We've seen an update hitting on Australia's Galaxy Note 5 (SM-N920I). The said update is bundled with October Android security patches to which came out as build version N920IDVU3BPJ3, an update to previous released build N920IDVU2BPG3. The Android security update is just a small Firmware Over the Air (FOTA) update and oftentimes it does not bring any noticeable changes nor any new features. This update includes all of the security patches as well as some other minor bugfixes to the device.
This update is rolling out via Over-The-Air and or through Samsung Kies/ Samsung Smart Switch for PC. This is the 4th Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow update landed on Australian Galaxy Note 5 users alone. The previous version was released way back in August and posses the Android security patch level of 1 August 2016, while this update bumped up to 1 October 2016. As you may notice there is a month gap between the two, as the September Android security update was missing. But considering that the October security patches has been applied, so it already covers both the month of September and October security patches.
