How to Use the Stock Firmware?


Stock firmware can be only be used to Unroot the Galaxy Note 5 (SM-N920C) if the device has been rooted and no longer receives any Software update that has officially released by Samsung itself. It can also be used to restore the Galaxy Note 5 (SM-N920C) from any modified, unofficial firmware builds and return it back to the official or stock firmware. 1. Grab these tools:

– USB driver or grab Smart Switch

2. Reboot your Galaxy Note5 into download mode by pressing the Volume down, Homeand Power/Lock buttons at the same time. Then press Volume up to continue.

3. Connect your Galaxy Note 5 to the computer using the USB data cable.

4. Load the stock firmware under Odin’s AP button. Click the AP button then select the firmware file.

5. Wait a couple of minutes as Odin will check the consistency of the file.

6. Click the “START” button to begin flashing.

7. Wait until the flashing completes. You will see a word PASS! when it’s done.

8. Allow the device to reboot, it may take a longer period of time to initialize and depend on each firmware build.
