What you’ll need to do before using the Stock firmware?


Prepare the following necessary things to keep the device as safe as possible before proceeding.
  • Recharge the device before flashing the stock firmware.
  • Ensure to back up all important data stored in the device memory, to avoid data loss  if something might go wrong during the firmware flashing process.
  • Turn ON the USB debugging mode in Settings > Developer option > USB debugging.
  • Turn ON the OEM unlocking in Settings > Developer option > OEM Unlocking. This can only be found if its already enabled on your device but some other Galaxy Note5 models doesn’t have this option.
  • Ensure that you installed the USB driver.
  • Extract or "unzipped" the downloaded stock firmware.
  • Use PC as this process will not work on Mac.

How to Flash a Stock Firmware?


1. Grab these tools:
– Odin3_v3.10.7
– USB driver or grab Smart Switch

2. Reboot your Galaxy Note5 into download mode by pressing the Volume downHomeand Power/Lock buttons at the same time. Then press Volume up to continue.

3. Connect your Galaxy Note 5 to the computer using the USB data cable.

4. Load the stock firmware under Odin’s AP button. Click the AP button then select the firmware file.

5. Wait a couple of minutes as Odin will check the consistency of the file.

6. Click the “START” button to begin flashing.

7. Wait until the flashing completes. You will see a word PASS! when it’s done.

8. Allow the device to reboot, it may take a longer period of time to initialize and depend on each firmware build.
